Hirslanden Precise Laboratory for Genetic Medicine
The Hirslanden Precise Laboratory for Genetic Medicine is a central component of the Hirslanden Group's strategy in the field of personalized medicine and is a pioneer in this field in Switzerland. The laboratory is equipped with the latest genome sequencing technology (next-generation sequencing, NGS). This enables precise and comprehensive genetic analyses.
Aim: To find the genetic cause of unclear symptoms and confirm a suspected disease. Drug efficacy: Pharmacogenetics is used to analyze how certain drugs are metabolized based on the patient's genetic disposition. This is crucial for determining the correct selection and dosage of medication (e.g. painkillers, anesthetics, chemotherapy or antidepressants).
