Dr. Enrique Steiger is a Swiss specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery as well as traumatology, who has become famous for his dual role.
He is a renowned cosmetic surgeon and co-founder and partner of Clinic Utoquai in Zurich, where he specializes in cosmetic surgery, particularly facial surgery (e.g. facelift, eyelids) and breast reconstruction. He is one of the best-known and most renowned cosmetic surgeons in Switzerland.
Education: He completed his studies and specialist training at the University of Zurich, but also underwent further training in plastic and aesthetic surgery with world-renowned luminaries such as Prof. Dr. Ivo Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro and Prof. Dr. Bruce Connell in Los Angeles.
Humanitarian mission: For over 25 years, he has regularly carried out humanitarian missions in war and crisis zones around the world (including Congo, Sudan, Afghanistan, Mati) for organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations (UN). During these missions, he operates on destitute victims of war and disasters and performs life-saving or reconstructive surgery.
Foundation: He is the founder of the SWISSCROSS Foundation, a foundation dedicated to training doctors in conflict regions in order to improve local medical care.
